Signing of Hydrogen Exploration agreement between the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy and H2 Gambia a subsidiary of HydroGenesis
The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy on behalf of The Gambia signed a hydrogen exploration agreement with H2 Gambia a subsidiary of HydroGenesis. This agreement was signed during the first day of African Energy Week (AEW) in Cape Town, South Africa. The agreement was signed by the Director of HydroGenesis, Ben Sayers and Director Petroleum, Sheick Omar Bittaye in the presence of the Minister of Petroleum and Energy Hon.Abdoulie Jobe. This agreement paves the way for collaboration and cooperation between both parties in the research and exploration of The Gambia’s onshore hydrogen potential.

National Validation of The Quarry Regulations 2024
The Geological Department holds the validation workshop for The Quarry Regulations 2024. An up-to-date quarry regulation is imperative for sustaining the supply of gravel, sand and other mineral resources for our construction industries. This addresses current challenges and fulfills future aspirations and opportunities in the geological subsector. The validation workshop brings together key players in various Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as well as Governors, Chiefs, Alkalos and private sector operators to add valuable input to the regulation.
